WHAT INSPIRED THIS PRINT?

Are you a friend or a follower? We recently reached 25k followers to our instagram; what does that even mean irl?  These digital media tools lack the real meaty goodness of community that we all crave.

Actually, making real friends is something I’ve never been very good at. I keep this close to the chest– you may not know, but it’s always been a struggle. You see, I don’t like parties or big venues with pointless social situations where I feel people aren’t really making genuine connections. Maybe that’s where most people “make friends,” but actually, that part is easy– it’s maintaining meaningful relationships that’s hard.

I’m saying this because I know there’s people out there thinking and feeling the same way. Maybe it’s you and you’re like me. You have the same trouble figuring this whole friend thing out and I want to say: you’re not alone.

Thank you for following… but I’m more interested in crafting meaningful friendships.
