Justine Kaemmerlen / Rocket Red

Our latest limited edition print release! Rocket Red was created in collaboration with Justine Kaemmerlen, a local artist based right here in San Francisco. This print was made using an experimental process - Justine collected flowers from the sidewalks of San Francisco and then we placed them directly on top of photopolymer plates. The result? A stunning impression of the shapes and textures of these flowers, frozen in time for you all to admire! Only 25 available.

Justine Kaemmerlen is a photographer and multidisciplinary artist based in the Mission District. She uses both traditional & alternative photographic processes in and out of the darkroom. Her art is informed by a strong interest in environmental preservation and the human-nature relationship. She combines foraged natural objects with printmaking to explore the interplay between shadow, light, color, and texture created by both man-made and natural forces. Each piece is letterpress printed on heavy acid-free cotton paper. Limited edition to 50 prints / numbered & signed. Each print measures 12 x 12.
