Kristine was asked by AIGA San Diego to design the advertising materials for their 2019 conference after having been a speaker at their 2017 conference. She created the concept, messaging, and design for Y24 to reflect her personal mantra from the year, which was "say yes to all things design." 

For Kristine, the word “yes” felt nostalgic. Therefore, she wanted to remind people of the camaraderie and collaborative spirit that was ever so present in the 60s and 70s. This can-do attitude inspired her to create a bespoke typeface that reminisced the classic American protest posters of that era. 

She designed the display font, Y24, in Glyphs and centered the entire identity around it. Then, The Aesthetic Union translated her design into print using letterpress, archival oil based ink, and acid free cotton paper.
